Fundraising Plan

 

Each year J.V. Washam PTO strives to assist our teachers and staff in building a strong learning environment at our school while creating fun and lasting memories for all our children. In order to do all that we do, it takes a lot of time, energy and support from our J.V. Washam families and community.



For 2021-2022, the PTO plans to support the school with technology, books, classroom start up funds, personalized learning accessories and furnishings, VIP Days, student recognition assemblies, 5th Grade Promotion and more.

To achieve all of our goals,we will be hosting fundraisers. The good news? We do not ask our students to sell anything. There will be no wrapping paper, chocolate bars, or coupon books sold. We will be raising funds in the following ways:

Hawk Fund: Our goal this year is to raise $10,000 with 100% student participation. No amount is too small and 100% of the donations to the Hawk fund go directly back to the school! Donate Here.

 

Boosterthon Fun Run: Our BIGGEST and best event!   Our students thoroughly enjoy the run and enthusiastic atmosphere. We invite our families to participate by cheering on our students as they run to raise support for our school.

Fall Fête: This year we hosted our inaugural, adults only, Gala and Auction which helped us raise over $5,000 for the school. Every auction item sold and there was music, dancing, and more!

Book Fair: Fall and spring- These events will continue to focus on promoting student reading while building our Media Center and Book Room literature resources.

              

Dollar Days: Have your child bring in $1 on a specific dollar day and they get to wear something special! (ie: flip flops, pajamas, etc).  Check the PTO calendar for specific days.

             

Family Dining Nights: Join the Washam families for dinner or an event in our community at a different location periodically throughout the year. 

             

School Rewards:  There are many ways you can help earn money for our school with little to no effort.  Last year this amounted to more than $13,000!  Your participation can really make a difference!

Corporate Sponsors: We have created a Community Sponsor Program for all the local businesses who support us. If your business is interested in becoming a community sponsor, please contact: jvwasham.pto@gmail.com.

Grant Writing: Our school has received many of our amazing items through grants, including our Hawk's Nest!
